Gown - “Head Honcho”
The critics are still out on Andy Sandberg’s movie Hot Rod. Actually, I imagine they all hated it. It’s a pretty horrible movie, but it’s also pretty fucking funny when taken in segments. Plus the soundtrack, which includes this original song (performed by Queens of the Stone Age?), kills it.
I got to see Absinthe Film’s Neverland video last weekend. Travis Rice, who has pretty much owned snowboarding video segments since Transcendence, grabbed “Head Honcho” for his segment and brought this song to a whole new level of awesomeness. It was so number one.

after driving home tonight, blasting “in circles”, i had to post this. it’s also justified because two remastered Sunny Day Real Estate albums, Diary and the LP2 album, went on sale earlier this week.
if joey cape and jon snodgrass had a reality show, it would be the only show i’d make a point of watching each week. “what’s your name again buddy?” “dolf” “yeahhhh, i like you dolf” - snodgrass cracks me up.
Well, all I’m saying is that I want to look back and say that I Facebooked the best I could while I was stuck in this place. Twittered as much as I could while I was stuck in this place. Networked as hard as I could while I was stuck in this place… Blogged as many girls as I could while I was stuck in this place.

Suburban Home Records / The Vinyl Collective started up their Drunk Dial Hotline a while back. I just discovered it and it has already delivered some solid laughs.
The first two messages (same guy, same night) here are worth a listen. Followed by a call from that same gentleman a few weeks later (first message in the player).
As with and drunk, give him a chance to get going because you never know when the laughs will start.
